I'm on 3rd and Seneca on the 24th floor, I just went and looked and yeah, it's just spinning round and round and round... and round and round.... round and round and round. Wheeeeeeeeeee!
if i'm not mistaken that is in "weather vane" mode, which is by design in order to reduce stress on the base and tower? right?
I am currently staring at the swinging crane across I-5 from my office in 2 Union Square, and am fairly certain it's going to crash directly into my desk before the day is out.
Well clearly the crane operator must be on drugs, right?
The operator MUST be on drugs... He just climbed the moving crane and somehow crossed the gap between the spinning top and unmoving base. The crane is now stopped and they've removed the flaying cable that had smashed a few windows on BOC...
Crane operators are bad ass.
Damn crane's back in "weathervane" and moving again. It's not spinnning yet - This time it's more of an eerie sway back and forth. Must be what "stress cracks" are made from...
i was in the 40th floor starbucks in the columbia tower a bit ago and saw that sucker going. pretty freaky.
This new-found crane hysteria cracks me up. Cranes are the new muslims.
the crane doesn't bother me, but the creaking in the columbia tower does.
the idea of a 40th floor starbucks freaks the hell out of me.
If you hate Starbucks, then you must hate freedom.
What if you just hate cranes?
