Sports Wednesday Morning Sports Report
posted by December 6 at 11:22 AM
onDan was supposed to write yesterday’s Tuesday morning sports report; however, he tells me nothing happened, so it’s my turn again.
In sports yesterday, the Sonics, confusingly, beat the Seahawks.
The Australian swim trials began a few days ago, for the first time in years without this man:
City Council member Peter Steinbrueck’s son Victor scored three points in the Seattle Prep basketball team’s loss to Chief Sealth.
And finally, hot tipper Seth Kolloen sent me a link to a video of some swishy guy named Brady. Who is this person? Is he gay? Please inform.
That’s all for today! Stay tuned for tomorrow’s sports report, when we’ll update you on the latest news on figure skating, men’s cycling, and the environmental impact of skiing!

Meanwhile, in sports news, the Sonics are renewing a push for a new arena, and the new owners have given them a few weeks to improve, or they’ll be making major changes:

ECB, you rule! Thank you for rescuing this section. The Brady bit is over the top funny :)
This should be known as the Pinko commie liberal sports report
EGAD, local H.S. sports and swimming! That's a slog first. To prep you for tomorrow, last weekend I caught a bit of some weird pro skating event on tv, Ice Wars I believe was the name. Oxana Baiul was dressed as a clown... sweet and strange.
Sonics/Seahawks, teehee.
Read this week's "Uptight Seattleite" in the Weekly. There's a response to a question about sports that pretty much fits everyone at the Stranger.
Oh dearie me, Australian swimmers. I have to go lie down now. I used to have a picture of their national swim team on my cubicle wall. In Speedos. That was lo these many moons ago, but dear sweet jeebus, I do love me some Australian swimmers.
You call this a sports update? WSU kicked the shit out of #18 Gonzaga last night! #13 Washington is playing #18 Gonzaga on Saturday! What is your source for sports? Harpers? Guardian UK?
You are kidding me, Peter Steinbrueck doesn't support Seattle Public Schools?
