The grey squirrel is a non-native east coast transplant, and far out-numbers the native red squirrel. In fact red squirrels are almost entirely absent from urban areas altogether as they have been pushed out by their bigger more agressive east coast cousins; you can basically assume that any squirrel you encounter is decendent from east coast bully blood and does not take precedence over the Stranger.
