Politics Vote Slog!!!

onWe’re very concerned here at Slog’s GOTV efforts about the effects of last night’s storm. Bad weather—to say nothing of impassible roads, power outages, and deaths—can seriously depress voter turnout. So, please, if you know someone that hasn’t voted yet, or is without power, do what you can to get them to the polls.
Because it’s round two of Capitol Hill Seattle’s referendum. In this round Slog is pitted against ShopRite. Yesterday at 4 PM ShopRite was freakin’ creaming us—but by 5 PM our GOTV efforts had reversed the trend and Slog took a commanding lead. But it’s not over until it’s over and the polls are open until late tonight. So click here to vote!
Vote Slog!
UPDATE: Er, it seems that the polls closed last night—accidentally. So we’ve already won this round…

. . . the poll seems to be closed already? It looks like you won, though.
I just tried to vote but the polls have closed early. I still don't get it though... why would an internet blog be pitted against a grocery store? And now they have a dry cleaning business up against some roads.. Hmm. This contest is as ridiculous as the tiger scene in Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. Which makes it hilarious...
Voting has been closed since last night. Did you even check before you re-slogged it?
That scene in Harold and Kumar featured a CHEETAH, not a TIGER. HELLLO people. Pay ATTENTION!
I stand corrected. Must watch that movie sober sometime.
GEM,
CapHillSeattle has set this up as an elimination style tiered tournament (ala NCAA basketball): the first round paired like-subject entries (e.g. streets, dry cleaners, web sites, etc), but now those winners are being paired against entries that have no relation to each other.
All very silly, and inconsequential yes, but what the hey.
