Bone to pick with the press - There's a creep in England targeting women. He may go for the easiest pickings but he's killing women. Calling them prostitutes first and foremost is dehumanizing.

Here's a fun story. German gamers could soon face fines and imprisonment for committing violent acts within video games.

Remember when Iraq was spreading freedom and democracy throughout the region? Remember the big crowds in Lebanon? They're on the verge of civil war, and possibly a full-on Syrian invasion, again. Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Somalia, Ethiopia: there's hardly a country in the Middle East that isn't somewhere between "worse off" and "hugely worse off" because of our efforts. Heckuva job, George.

Fnarf,

On the other hand, the Repubs have become experts at failing their way to the top.

Push 'em even harder!

Did anybody notice this in the P-I story about Gregoire?

"There are no hints of what Gregoire is thinking. She met with the most prominent tunnel backer, Mayor Greg Nickels, but her staff also met with advocates of other alternatives, including those pushing the "surface-transit" option to remove the 53-year-old viaduct and disperse traffic onto city streets. That option, Gregoire spokeswoman Holly Armstrong said, "is off the table," because the governor was concerned about spreading 100,000-plus vehicles each day onto surface streets."

Off the table. You go, guv! You rock!
