I havent said this in a while, but props to our city council. Annexation is good for both Seattle and the North Highline community. I dont know if it will happen and yes a lot of hurdles remain and ultamately North Highline will decide, and just like the communities of Boulevard Park, Top Hat, Salmon Creek and White Center are multi cultural and diverse so are their views on annexation, some oppose Seattle and favor Burien, some dont favor anything, and some favor Seattle and they will have a chance to vote on what they feel is best for the community. A lot of work remains, and the city should receive assurances from the state and county that it will not get stuck with the South Park bridge repairs. But these hurdles should not prevent Seattle from annexing a community that is a natural fit.

But I gotta give props to Conlin's gutsy statement, on not shutting the gates. Take that Drago and Mcgiver!! Good late round comeback by Conlin.

Comment on the lost climbers: "The three missing climbers apparently attempted a quick climb to the 11,239-foot summit while carrying little survival gear."

Um, can someone tell me exactly why are we spending time and money, possibly risking other lives, to save a trio of morons?

Can we all agree now that Pit Bulls are a dangerous breed period, and why anyone would even think of having them around a baby, or human of any age for that matter, is out of their minds!

that article about 2007 likely being good for landlords and bad for tenants was about commercial real estate, not residential.

LUNATICS - sounds like how I describe Deniro in Taxi Driver, or wait, he's a hero, yes, he's cool, Deniro is cool because he's in a movie. This guy in Mass. is a lunatic (lunatics? were the victims the cause for the plural?). Wow, so many lunatics, you lookin at me, Bradleyboy?

Dilda,

Any animal - especially puppies, regardless of breed - are a potential danger to a month-old baby. It's why parents aren't supposed to leave babies unattended EVER. See, everything is a potential chew toy for a puppy and fingers and toes are especially fun because they wiggle, they're warm, and they're made of meat. Puppies have no reference of disctinction between humans and other dogs, either.

I cannot imagine how fucked up the parents were that they left the baby alone and didn't get up to check on it when it first started crying. A puppy probably didn't chew all four toes off quickly or at once, so the baby was probably crying pretty hard for a pretty long time before they decided to check on her.

I find it hard to believe that the baby was only crying and not screaming bloody murder.

It's also pretty amazing that the parents seemed to be using a car seat for a crib. If they'd put the baby in a real crib a couple feet off the floor, it never would've happened.
