Now comes the second letter from Latvia, in which the Prayer Warrior asks you to pray for him before you go to bed tonight…

A pastor from Minsk, Byeloroos in Russia, the last communist dictatorship in the world, told about the government wanting their building and property. The church, New Life Church, had bought the property and building 10 years ago, and had done a lot of improvements on it. So the government told them they would pay them the amount that they had purchased the property for (over 10 years ago).The 120 church members began to pray and fast, and they even moved into the church building, and would not leave. After 14 days, they had a rally at the capital, and over 2,000 people came out and put pressure on the government. After 20 days of fasting and prayer, and living in the church, 9 separate embassies came to the church and thanked the people for standing up for freedom. After 23 days, there was so much pressure, they told the church they could KEEP their building and property!!
Praise God for His Faithfulness, and for people who will stand against communist dictatorship, and for blessing them with victory.

The most important meeting I will attend while I am here will take place at 1:00 am PST, which is 3:00 pm in Latvia. Please remember before you go to bed tonight, or if you wake up, to pray as I meet with the top government officials in Latvia to discuss how they need to stand for God's righteousness to protect marriage. This meeting could change all of Latvia if it goes well.

I know you're probably suffering from jet lag and all, but please, next time maybe you should pray for a proof reader.
"Byeloroos"? Belarus is NOT part of Russia, any more than Mexico is part of the US. It has not been a communist "dictatorship" for, oh, 15 years or so now, since the break up of the USSR. I know it's been a while since you attended college, so I thought I'd pray up this little refresher.
Nevertheless, I'm sure the Latvians will be thrilled to hear you tell them they need to stand up for God's righteousness.

While Byeloroos is a pretty absurd spelling, he is relatively correct in his description of its politics. Belarus has been governed by the same "President" since the breakup of the USSR, who is known for being quite the Stalin imitator. While not the official state party, the Communists hold a majority of the seats in their "Congress". FYI...

How can we be sure that the term "dictatorship" is a pejorative in Hutch's mind?
He's seriously going to bother the Latvian government about this? So what did you do, Kenny? Tell the Latvians that you wanted to talk to them about "making an important investment" in their country? Bet you did, because you Christer assgaskets just love doing shit like that. Boy won't they be surprised and delighted when you tell them "an investment in your nation's MORAL FIBER!" and then proceed to blather on about keeping the gays from marrying each other.
Too bad they'll just smile and nod. The penalty for that kind of fraud should be swift and harsh.
This is what I, as a Somewhat Different Prayer Warrior (a unilateral prayer warrior?) have been praying for. Obviously, Hutch is desparately needed in Latvia. I think this is a message from God that he needs to go there and take up the cause of Christ - and take the people of Antioch with them. Sure, it will be a blow to the good people at Lake Washington High School, but no sacrifice is too great.
At a rally of 2,500 people, they were only able to convert two? Ha! Amazing that Hutch sees that as some sort of accomplishment.
Hush your mouth, Keshmeshi. It OBVIOUS that God has a Plan for Hutch, and that plan is right there in Latvia!!!! I don't think he should even come back here: The flight is just too arduous, and his is needed there SO MUCH.
It really would be best - for the God-starved Latvians - if he were to renounce his US citizenship, and become a Latvian, along with his wife and kids.
He'll need disciples of course - what prophet doesn't? So I think that the Christian thing for the Antioch congregation to do is to donate all their worldly posessions to the poor, and become Latvians also. Shake the dust from their sandals and follow the light!
And in a wonderful sign of inter-racial, inter-denominational unity, I suggest that Mark Driscoll join him, along with the Mars Hill congregation.
And take Pastor Casey Treat along for good measure. We'll have to find someplace else to have the funerals for dead police and firemen from, but I'm sure something can be arranged. No sacrifice is too great to bring the message of Christ to Latvia. Save them from the spectre of Latvian Orthodoxy.
