I'm not sure Esser is quite stupid enough to meet my requirements for the job. Can we get him to make some ludicrous anti-gay or anti-evolution statements? Not just the usual, but something really off-the-wall, like "the average lifespan of homosexuals is thirty years less than normal people". I really do want to see the Rs in the hands of unsuccessful idiots for the conceivable future.

Don't forget The Dwight Pelz Facts!

http://www.horsesass.org/?p=2302

1. Dwight Pelz was born in Seattle, WA in 1951. Well, he wasn’t so much born as he was forged. You know, like a sword. But instead of being made of out metal, Dwight Pelz was forged out of the tears of Republican children.

2. The name “Pelz” is Swedish for “go fuck yourself.”

3. You know the port wine stain on Paul Berendt’s forehead? It’s not a birthmark. It’s actually wine. And who put it there? Dwight Pelz. Scary, I know.

4. While Sen. Tim Sheldon (D-Potlatch) is AGAINST gun-control, he’s FOR Dwight-control.

I don't know what to feel about this one. Diane Tebelius hasn't been a great chair for the R's (in the anus horibilus of her party) but she is not a raving lunatic and she even has the integrity to hold her tongue from time to time. I love her dry wit. Kuke, i mean Luke, on the other hand is stupid, thoughtless, and a maniac, and he will only drag the R's down.
Diane, it was a thankless task, but you did OK, really... We hardly knew you.

Rossi and McKenna (along with Dave Reichert and Doc Hastings, for that matter) endorsed Fredi Simpson to replace Vance a year ago. Their endorsement obviously carries a lot of weight with the WSRP.

Let's see -- Diane Tebelius put about $5,000 of the several million dollars that folks gave the state GOP over the last two years into supporting candidates for the state legislature. Instead, concentrated all money into the party's federal account, in order to get Mike McGavick elected. Great job!

Luke Esser had an impressive record to run on for re-election -- eight years in the state legislature, a lifetime of public service. Endorsements from liberal groups like SEIU and Washington Conservation Voters.

And Esser blew it! Spend most of his campaign money attacking Rodney Tom for changing parties and missing a few days in the legislature. Had two robocalls from his dear friend Rob McKenna -- not to praise Esser, but to attack Tom! Elevated Tom's stature, while diminishing his own record by not saying anything positive about himself. Great job!

Somehow I think Rob McKenna will be in trouble in 2008, assuming the Democrats manage to find and fund a credible challenger.

Hate to disagree with you Richard, but I don't think Diane Tebelius spent very much helping McGavick. I'll bet she took all that federal money she was supposed to spend on McGavick and used it to pay off the huge legal debt the GOP had left over from the Rossi election contest.

I have known Luke for many years. Not only does he fuck pigs as Dan pointed out during the election season, but he was stupid enough to vote against all highway packages in a district with 520 running through it. The rest of the road builders got what they wanted with the gas tax and the RTID, but it wasn't good enough for Luke.

Although Tibelius was stunningly overmatched against Pelz, she offers a far better future for the Republican Party in this state. Luke is pretty damn far right although he will follow his mentor, Rob McKenna, and try to sound moderate. That will be hard with an eight-year voting record. Go Luke!

The State Republican Party could use a self-loathing closeted homosexual like Luke Esser at the helm. Jim West anyone...?

All I can say is the only good Republican is a drafted one serving in Iraq.

Because they're too cowardly to serve without being drafted.
