Justin Timberlake on SNL!

posted by on December 18 at 9:43 AM

This meeting of the JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE APPRECIATION SOCIETY is now in session! First order of business? EEEEEEEEEEEE! JT was on SNL on Saturday and was so freakin’ awesome I couldn’t believe it. I even had people who were veteran JT pooh-poohers call me on Sunday to say, “HUMPY, YOU SO RIGHT.”
Still don’t believe that Justin is a great singer and comedian? Check out my favorite sketch, where JT and that other SNL guy does a great parody of COLOR ME BADD-style boy bands with this song entitled… well, you’ll hear it.

The other guy is Andy "Lazy Sunday" Samberg. Damn hilarious!

He's up there with Alec Baldwin as one of the GOAT hosts.

JT is a great guest, true. I loved his Bee Gees skit with Jimmy Fallon a few years ago.

I do hope SNL gets a little more political...it seems to be focused more on making fun of celebrity than politicians. Making fun of celebrities is great, but having political balance would be nice.

Who doesn't love dick in a box for Christmas? Thanks, Humpy.

Him,
you've got electricity in your soul. As Michael Stipe sings in Begin the begin, it's "the only vote that matters."

Thanks for posting this. I missed SNL because I forgot JT was hosting, but his Bee Gees skit a few years ago was righteous!

JT=brilliant on SNL. Reprising his role as cup-a-soup is flippin' genius!

I disagree that SNL is funny again. This has been a bad year without Tina Fey cracking the ol' writing whip. That said, there are hosts who've made it worth watching: Alec Baldwin (natch), Hugh Laurie, and JT. I could do without his watered down Stevie Wonder-meets-Michael Jackson schtick, but the guy *is* funny. Even that Chipmunks sketch made me giggle.

Those of you pining for the old JT Bee Gees skit should catch the re-run, because Jimmy Fallon made a surprise cameo and reprised "The Barry Gibb Talk Show" with Timberlake. And the chest hair and gold medallions were as grand as ever.

Um, I forgot to mention that The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is on at 9pm tonight (PST) with JT as special musical guest. As tempting as it is to make snide comments...
