I don't even know what the Grynch sounds like and if I were playing the curve on rappers in general, I'd probably agree he's a joke.

But Eagle Scout from Magnolia? Those two items hardly convince me he can't rap.

Relax, it's just music and all our favorite rappers are 2 slaps shy of being bitches anyway, so...you know what it does. Just let it firgure itself out and look like less of weeny talking about rappers you don't like on the net. Seriously. It's not a good look for anyone.

Well, I just watched Mudede's interview of The Grynch.

He's still got placenta on him. But I still don't know if he can rap.

So much for bucking the "whiteboys are stiff and dorky" stereotype though.

Unfortunately, I couldn't make it out to this show. However...

I saw Grynch perform at the D. Black show at Chop Suey back in September and the kid was pretty dope to be honest. One would be quick to judge him by the way he looks because, well, he does fit the white and nerdy stereotype. But regardless, he was on point and didn't portray himself to be something he's obviously not (a gangbanging,
drug dealing hard ass who will fuck you up at a moment's notice) so to try and discredit him for whatever reason is pretty pointless.

Anyhow, anybody know if they're gonna make the Dope Emporium an annual thing?

Dude, you must've missed all the Hip Hop 101 re-runs on SCAN.

Hip Hop's not about culture or art it's about trying to be what white people think being black is all about!

Eagle Scout? Seriously? Wow. I'm so not feeling that struggle. Raise baby kittens why don't you? Fuckin' knit me a scarf or something. Sheesh.

Great VIDS! Thanks, Charles!

BTW, watched JL Goddard's "Sympathy for the Devil" last night. Thought of you. Have you seen it? Remarkable take on the whole black/white cultural exchange/drag thing. I'm thinking of the single-shot scene of the black men reading among the junked cars, situated of course, within a documentation of the famous rock band in the studio developing and recording the famous rock song.

who evers hating on grynch is on some bullshit. if you ever actually listened to his music...you would know he doesnt claim to be a gangster. and he doesnt talk about drive by shootings and shit liek that. i forgot some people are so ignorant they think rap and hiphop are only real if your a killer. cause..every rapper has to be a killer right.
