My two favorite quotes from the AP article on this matter

"The Americans want him to be hanged respectfully,"
& the best of all

"Our respect for human rights requires us to execute him, and there will be no review or delay in carrying out the sentence," al-Maliki said.

Nothing shows more disrespect for human rights than NOT executing someone!

Let's just hope it doesn't end up on next week's episode of "World's Funniest Botched Executions".

Um, and this IS going to make everying in Iraq all better, right?

I am surprised to see The Stranger reveling in Hussein's execution with posts like this one and Charles Mudede's "Hang Him." Do you support the death penalty? If not, why do you make an exception for Saddam Hussein?

Justice and Mercy weep. Life in prison would have been fine.

Weird jutxa position in the Stranger --- Kill the old fuck and vote for the squirrel .... I will not drink to the evil of Sadam's life, but do not support the death penaltly ... period ...period.
