WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 — There were an average of 959 insurgent and sectarian attacks against American and Iraqi targets every week in Iraq over the last three months, the highest level ever recorded, according to a Pentagon report on security trends in Iraq issued today…The report was dated Nov. 30, but it is not clear whether its release was delayed until [former Defense Secretary Donald] Rumsfeld had left office.
Attacks are defined in a way that discounts about 90% of total attacks. The real world non Karl-Rove approved number is astronomically higher.
