After all, what right-thinking American Christian Conservative would want to soil their hands with such trivialities when the important work: rescuing defenseless zygotes and stem cells, punishing fornicating teens and young adults, and making sure peoples naughty bits remain covered, remains unfinished.
You can say a lot about the Religious Right, but you can't say they don't have priorities.
The worst aspect of the McChristianity that we have here in the US is the fact that it’s not at all about being a good person or helping others, no it’s all about screaming that anyone who doesn’t believe exactly what you believe is gonna fry in Hay-ell. They’ve perverted people’s tendency towards spirituality and twisted it into a hateful, right wing ideology by cherry-picking select, out of context biblical quotes.
Just take a look at our local Mars Hill Driscopalians for perfect examples of what’s deeply wrong with organized Christianity in the US today; the pious self-righteousness, bigotry, prejudice, hypocrisy and lies are just sickening.
Duh, has anyone here actually looked into what the born again Christians are all about? They want the end of the world to come about.. the sooner the rapture comes, the better.
