Global warming is causing these weather changes. Please everyone - drive a hybrid car if you don't already and eat only organic sustainable foods.

Kimberly, is it ok if I eat you? Or will the noise that results endanger sperm whales?

Do they even still make those old-fashioned rubbers, you know, the button-up kind that go on over your shoes? They were dorky looking, but they DID keep your feet dry...

Those are overshoes, or galoshes, and yes, they still make them. I don't know if you can even get them here, but they are readily available in any department store on the East Coast. The low shoe-covering style is stupid (try stepping in a freezing puddle with one), but the high boot style that folds over and fastens is great for protecting not just your shoes but your pant leg.
