These cute updates are starting to read like Hip-Hop Weekly. When I'm looking at idiot tablod faces while in the grocery line, you'll be on my mind.

'brewing'-'take his juice'-'shitcanned'??? Sounds like someone's got a case of nausea. Anyone up for some touch football, so we can get real?

Hey, when do the Sonics leave?

Whatevs, Ry-ry. Go long. Long. Keep goin'...

God bless the Tampa Bay Devil Rays who landed a rabbit punch on the AL east today by winning the rights to negotiate a contract with Akinori Iwamura. And for the ramen-eating price of 14M and change. Gold Glover, great in the WBC and can play multiple positions.
It's a great bargain for the Rays, who have a lot of talented young players, but lost the lefty power of Aubrey Huff when they traded him to Houston last season. Every HR Skywalker hits off of Matsuzaka: A blow against the empire.

Also, I'm happy for Seneca Wallace getting the extension. Besides being a good move for the Hawks, it's a good reward for a guy who has preserved if not saved the Seahawks season this year.

You hear that, along with the Sonics and Jailblazers, that the owners of the Sacremento Kings are also having trouble with getting public funding for a new arena? A local measure to fund it got voted down hard in this election.

National backlash to funding venues for rich sports franchises?

Hey, if the Kings move here, can we rename them the Queens? We'll have a perfectly good Key Arena they can use ...

Just think, Emerald City Queens, I like the sound of that.

Right, Joe Girardi. That's rich. You're fired, and you're awesome! I'm just glad I don't know him or the owners of the Marlins personally. I'd hate to have to explain that situation delicately to anyone asking me what's up.

I really hope WSU pounds on UW in the Apple Cup, just to emphasize how off the rails this program really is.

Haven't heard much from Emmert all season and that is really surprising for someone who was supposed to come in and shake things up.

I'll never root for UW but that doesn't mean I want them to be as poor as they've been the last half-decade. They have too fine of a legacy to be this meek and half-hearted. It just seems that no one in the program gives a damn anymore.

why the hell are people trying to tell willingham how to do his job?

There's a reason coaches call the shots and not angry, facebook-whoring co-eds.

Florida Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria sold off nearly all the team's top talent, saying he wasn't making any money and trying to either strongarm Miami, FL into building him a new stadium or getting another city to do so. The team tanking was his leverage.

Except Joe Girardi, who was hired just to be a tool, actually tried to win and took Dontrelle Willis, Miguel Cabrera and a bunch of AA and AAA players and somehow fielded a very competitive team. However, Girardi also mouthed off a lot about how he didn't have ownership's support, so Loria decided, even with the team in the hunt, to can him at season's end.

The stuff about him running the pitcher out there after a rain delay in that one game is just periphery. Girardi making the team good was a rock in the wheels of Loria's plan, so he turfed him.

Maybe because Willingham's "shots" have been shots of diarrhea sprayed across the turf at Husky Stadium? Dude has done nothing to show change is around the corner. Gilbertson only got two seasons before he was tossed...Willingham has done no better, so what's Emmert's plan now?
