I don't know anyone who's masochistic enough to go to the mall today either. Are people unaware that sales happen during other times of the year? Or that you can shop online and those wondrous gifts will actually come to you instead of the other way around? The line I get from my friends in retail is they get up at 3 in the morning only to deal with customers who bring in sale ads from other stores and then get pissy that they can't use them there. Joy.

I love my uncle, aunt and cousins, but Mormon beliefs are truly crazy. They’re more in line with Scientology or the Masons than so-called mainstream Christianity. That said, the only thing that differentiates a “cult” from a “religion” is the number of followers, and every religious movement has its fringe elements.
I don’t think Romney has a prayer (ha, ha). He allowed marriage equality in Massachusetts and didn’t call out the National Guard or block the county clerks’ offices (hello in Hell, Orval Faubus), which is the ultimate betrayal for the extremist sociopaths currently running the Republican Party. I mean, damn, Mel Martinez is going to be chairman of the RNC and Trent Lott is going to be Senate minority leader, which means that we can look forward to the most viciously homophobic and racist political campaigns in our modern history in 2008, and I’ll bet that Romney will be an early casualty.
