Savage Plays Respectable

posted by on November 8 at 17:07 PM

Our fearless leader has another op-ed in the New York Times today. To everyone’s shock, it has something to do with homosexuality.

Those who weren’t exhausted by reading the 17,000 words Savage wrote for Slog today are encouraged to give it a look.

Omertà? Why, this is the first time I needed a dictionary to read a Dan Savage article.

Dan Savage must be super-human. Where does he find time to write an op-ed piece for the NYT, post on the slog, host an election party, AND get a weekly paper out?

I'm so glad you wrote this, Dan. I was turned off completely by Benjamin Nichols self-serving attitude about protecting a client's anonymity "no matter what" in The Stranger (I haven't seen today's paper, is it just online?). Nichols should stick to blogging about his nights at the baths and which airlines have the plushest VIP lounges. Jones did us all a favor. In this case, the "paid crotch monkey" did the right thing.

Thanks, Dan, for the piece. You nailed it! (oops! wrong metaphor!)

The "sin is the closet" indeed.
