Apparently, lanky Seinfeld alum Michael Richards does not appreciate talking during his attempts at stand-up, especially if the audience member doing the talking is black.
(If this were Andy Kaufman, I’d suspect a set-up. But as it is, I just think Richards snapped, and may never recover.)

Iihope Larry David does something funny with this on Curb your Enthusiasm. Larry David was the only reason that show ( Seinfeild) was somewhat watchable, I have no idea why people think that show was like a big deal, as if it was as good as All in the Family or Goodtimes.
the 2 best shows on tv are Curb your Enthusiasm and The Wire. The rest is crap.

#20 - I don't think Richards was funny.
However, there are some very edgy comics who could compose some humorous thoughts from the 'What would happen to a black man heckling a white entertainer back in 1906?' scenario. It's an absurd scenario and a shocking, uncomfortable subject... and just the sort of thing an 'edgy comic' might try to do.
The very best comics can make people laugh at horrible, tragic, and vile things - such as 9/11, pedophiles, Nicole Simpson's murder, and Republicans.
Richards, obviously, failed to make his bit funny. (there's an understatement) He jumped into some very deep water, at a very bad time, and sank straight to the very bottom.
He offended folks on a national scale, (myself included), and needs to apologize (his agent says he already did - right after the show). I'm just not ready to jump to the conclusion that he's aspiring to be a KKK grand wizard (or whatever the hell they call themselves).
They are posting odds in Vegas that Richards will kill himself by January.
How appalling. Richards refused to appear on the Today show with the 2 black people he insulted in the comedy club. He insulted me and I wasn't even there and gave blacks and other non whites another reason to think all white people are really racists inside. Mel Gibson and Michael Richards are arrogant men who want you to believe they're innocent. What a crock. Every human being has to fight false pride daily. Racism, condescension, and arrogance are the enemies of civilization. Michael Richards is a sick man. So is Mel Gibson. Isn't this the problem since the beginning of time? People thinking they are better than and more deserving than others? As John Lennon said " One thing you can't hide is when you're crippled inside".

Michael Richards is not the sole representation of white men. I'm a white male and I'm offended at being stereotyped that way. I think racism of any kind should not be tolerated, nor should any inequality based on race. It's Richards' own fault for jumping into the hole, I don't see why his mistakes should affect me as a person, just because I'm the same race and gender as him. Black people don't want to be discriminated against because of their race, neither do asians, muslims, or caucasians. Yet, we have certain people being hypocrites and using this as an excuse to call all white people racist. I'm not racist, and I don't like being called a racist when I'm not one. I never discriminate, even when I've been discriminated against, because I don't see how it will help the world for me to hate someone for no good reason. I hope by doing this, I can set a better example for people in general, so they don't have to resort to these stupid stereotypes and we can cut through the racial divide which is so prominent in the country.
Can anyone think of why Kramer would NEVER have been allowed into the KKK?
