Gays no longer sick like mentally-ill-sick, more sick like bedwetter sick. So says the U.S. Military.
Pentagon guidelines that classified homosexuality as a mental disorder now put it among a list of conditions or “circumstances” that range from bed-wetting to fear of flying…. The revision came in response to criticism this year when it was discovered that the guidelines listed homosexuality alongside mental retardation and personality disorders.Mental health professionals said Thursday they were not satisfied by the change.
Also, only SF tops Seattle in percentage of residents who are openly gay and lesbian.
The study reports found that 12.9 percent of Seattle residents—roughly 57,900 people—identified themselves as gay, lesbian or bisexual. In San Francisco, 15.4 percent of residents identified themselves as gay, lesbian or bisexual.
The study shouldn't even try to identify bisexuals, because their methodology for doing so (same-sex couple households) is deeply flawed. A majority of the bisexuals I know are living in opposite-sex coupled arrangements. I can't recall ever being asked my orientation, myself, so I'm among the Great Uncounted.

These are the same guys whose predecessors - some of whom taught the current batch in pshrink school- were the ones responsible for classifying homosexuality in the DSM?
And treating same with frontal lobotomy and electro-shock? Color me unimpressed.
No - hurrah for the guidelines being changed - even if they were written by the pshrinks - but take what your mental health professional says with a grain of salt.

I'm telling you, Seattle is more gay than San Francisco. Walk around any neighborhood in Seattle, and you see gay couples. Walk around San Francisco, and it seems like we're utterly ghettoized.
It is best to milk societies hatred of us for all that it worth. think about it...if we fight for ALL of our rights we might have to do things that most of us don't want to do, like fight wars. I say...the army is correct. Gays do not belong in the military. The straight guys should go and die for our rights while IIII get to shop for designer jeans and live the good life in my very expensive home. OOOOOO! are you getting mad now, whoever you are reading this? well fuck you, I mean what I am saying. What society fails to realize is that the gays are playing you all for suckers. You spend ALL of this time talking about us and passing laws against us. Entire countries are talking about us daily. I personally love all of the attention.
