God, when did he become such a douchebag? Remember when he was the republican you liked, back in the late nineties? He always seemed so decent and wise. Now he just runs around showing his ass, spouting bullshit, lapdogging for a party that nearly ruined his career. What a joke he's become.

He also said he opposed torture. I think we need to start getting used to John McCain not meaning what he says until his concession speech in 2008.

So 6 years is a Vietnam prison is better than 2 years in a Democratic Senate?

WOW. I looked to McCain as the one republican who provided me hope. Now I am disgusted.

After all the nasty shit the GOP did to him, it's amazing he'd consider Dems the "enemy"

Let's hope that Americans distrust no-neck bastards as much as I do.

He was always one of the few Repubs I liked but yeah, when he sold his soul to Bush in hopes of securing the conservative vote in 2008 he lost his credibility with me.

When he promoted that torture bill after being soooo against torture I ripped the lapel off my coat.

I've got a great idea for McCain's suicide: he should re-enlist, and go serve his country on the front lines of Iraq.

It'll hurt him in 08.

"Senator McCain promised to kill himself and has yet to follow up. He was in favor of suicide before he was against it. FLIPFLOP! FLIPFLOP!"

I'll hand him the rope. And to think I almost voted for him in the primary ...

McCain's old and cranky. I think he looked in the mirror yesterday and realized that there's no fucking way he's running for Prez in '08; he's too old and too tired. He will be three years older in 2008 than Reagan, our oldest president, was when he was first elected.

And he's just watched the thing he sold his everlasting soul for crumble to pieces.

These things make for a bitter old senator.

Aside from campaign finance reform, I've never understood why people thought McCain was near-Dem. He's a Republican. Maybe not a 21st century Krazy Kristian Republican, but he still has conservative views and values.

Also, I heard a story on NPR about him a couple months ago about him courting Jerry Falwell for support. F**king JERRY FALWELL! Who is a COMPLETE NUTJOB! No sane person would want to stand within 10 feet of this guy.

McCain wants so desperately to be President that he'd sell his own mother's corpse to the fundie nutbags for experiments if he thought it'd buy him a handful of votes. The man lost his last shred of integrity when the first glimmerings of Presidential ambitions started cropping up in his brain. When he made a pact with the very same Rovian forces that slimed him beyond belief, beyond comprehension, beyond all semblance of decency in 2000, that's when I knew that man would do ANYTHING, toady to ANYONE, if he thought it'd advance his aspirations.

John, show you're a man of your word. I've got a shotgun if you need a loan, or we can probably find you a cup of hemlock.

Ask the Shrub if you can have your balls back first, though.
