City “Fucking ballsy vandals…”

onThat’s what I’ve been saying every time I shuffle over the neon “Tokyo 2025” tag that speckles the sidewalks on both sides of my building. As I was contemplating calling the promoters (Tokyo 2025 is a future-themed breakbeat party at Barca this Saturday) and the city to bitch, I found this page on the party’s website, which explains that the paint is temporary. Interesting. Still, I think it looks like shit, and not just because I’m getting too old to pardon graffiti—it’s barely legible, the color is hideous, and it’s too obviously a marketing campaign to be cool.

Dude, commercial graffiti tags are so last millenium.
My friend walked by one and thought it said "Foskett 2025" because it's hardly legible. That would have been way cooler!
It may not be paint, but is it non-toxic? It doesn't need to be paint to be poisonous.
I don't think it's a big deal at all. Geesh, this is Capitol Hill- who cares about alternative promo methods? What difference does it make if it's a poster on the telephone pole or something on the corner sidewalk below those posters? When did this neighborhood become inhabited with such tight-asses?
seems like it was just a few years ago that I saw: 'nomoreprisons.net' on every street corner in Seattle, not just Capitol Hill, but EVERYWHERE, even up in Lake City.
Despite the fact that "No More prisons" seems like it may be promoting a good cause, it was still marketing, promoting a website and also a book by Billy Wimsatt. was there this much backlash then ?
