Ah good. No SoD Lieberman. We retain our majority.

He also just said "Democrats are gonna support our troops just like Republicans will".

I feel like I've just died and gone to reality.

he said that the election was close, on a race-by-race basis, but that the cumulative effect was a "thumping." get your facts straight, angela...

(that's a joke - bush said the same thing to a reporter that said the same thing valdez did. imagine bush telling a nyt reporter to keep his facts straight.)

He also just said something like "we're adjusting while we adjust". It's so painful.

The Q&A is going well, but the initial address was a lot more peevish and contentious than I expected. I mean, I didn't expect him to come out grinning and cracking jokes, but he was reaallly barking out the lines.

Upon correcting the reporter, and realizing that he had indeed said what he said, he said something along the lines of: "thumping ......which is a nice way of saying..." What? A nice way of saying what?

He also referred to the Democratic Party as the "Democrat" Party THREE TIMES in the first 30 seconds. When is he going to grow up and stop playing these ridiculous word games?

maybe the "thumping" knocked him off the effects of the Rove mind control ..

Reporter: "how is the reading competition with Karl Rove going?"

Shrubby: "I'm losing. Clearly, I was working harder on the election than he was."

SNAP!

i believe that mr. bush was trying to avoid the term "ass-kicking." i believe it in my gut, and my belief will guide me through this transition.

Whippersnapper -

The quote was "while we are adjusting, we will continue to adjust."

He also cursed during the press conference. Big ol' bleep on NPR....

I heard that. And he repeated it several times for the NY Times reporter. But all that was clouded by the whole Rumsfeld resigning thing. I am a tad more chipper now!

I heard that bleep, and was wondering whether it was just something wrong w/my TV.

He also added in a product placement for "dell televisions." or did i mis-hear that? weird.

yep, there was a bleep.

i thought the bleep was some sort of tv error, too. dying to know what sort of expletives the rodeo boy uttered.

not very family values of him to be cursing on national tv.

one small correction: as was pointed out in the press conference, GW said thumpin'.

homeboy has a shortage of G's, in both his speech and, blessedly now, in the House.

I thought it was fairly well known that GW cursed like a sailor on a regular basis. He's a big fan of "fuck" and "shit".

Dems win. Bush farts a turd blossom.

Hey, if it's a public speech, they are required by law to include the bleeped words, officially. Can we file a lawsuit to have it disclosed, or must we go to YouTube to do it?
