--pukes in disgust at local voters--

yay, lets re-elect the guy who ruined capital punishment for our state (not that I agree with capital punishment, but if you are gonna have it, it needs to be credible, and now you need to kill at least 60 people to be above the bar set by reichert/ridgeway...)

Actually, one batch does not a trend make. The last batch of votes counted in King County are the first batch he has gained on her.

As for a concession, I doubt it given the fact we don't know how many votes are left to count, and the given recent news that a large batch of votes remains uncounted.

War Pigs, you really wanna save the bulk of your puke for trailer trash meth addict pierce county, which is primarily responsible for Reichert's lead. If you look at the vote breakdown of king vs. pierce, you'll also see that in the kc tally, Burner has a slim lead.

it was a long shot - and expensive try - but her utter lack of experience was a hard barrier to overcome

needed a better runner for that race, sorry all you highly paid consultants who made tons of money off this election, she does not have it

some folks early on said Reichert by two, no matter what - seem to be right

Obama will be the next President of the US -- not Clinton.

He is poised perfectly for the run. Big state, Illinois, historic first for an Afrrican American as President, with a broad support base including women, Hispanics and Blacks and urban centers.

He is supremely articulate and intelligent, god, what a relief. And he has ideas, energy and is perhaps the most telegenic leader out there.

Tell me you have seen a bad photo or clip of him? None. Almost movie star good looking, but not a pretty boy face, just good old American good looking guy. And presence.

Barack Obama, a real 21 st Century President.

He solves the Clinton love/hate thing for Dems.

She is scared of him at present, watch the real fight as campaigning starts.

is it just me, or does George Bakan have some sort of Slog Tourette's Syndrome? not only is his comment out of left field, its poorly spelled and the grammar is off.

never would guess this man is an editor..but it does explain the hilarity of the SGN.

Well - I thought it was an interesting post.

Maybe the Stranger folks have been highly focused on Burner, what news is that, but the rest of America is abuzz about Obama.

Common blogsphere form is phrases, incomplete sentences, and no spell check, lower case, etc. Increasingly casual, I think we could agree.

Oh, are we all being graded?

Good to see that the Dems were able to take back congress without having to elect bad candidates like burner. Her only accomplishment was fundraising. This gives the dem's a chance to accually put a good candidate in that seat next year. Can you believe she listed earning a national merit scholarship on her acheivements page?

Doink's comment at #9 is a lot more accurate than many want to admit.

Isn't it droll that at the moment Burner is destined to return to shrill, irrelevant obscurity, the culture-of-corruption Democrats who run King County's elections start finding corrupt magical mystery ballots? By the tens of thousands? The same gang whose corrupt belated ballots in 2004 dribbled & dunked Gregoire over the rim in sudden-death overtime?

Isn't it droll that when you losers finally win one, you cease whimpering and whining about Diebold?

South Florida Democrats ran the ruined election of Y2K. Your people designed the infamous Butterfly ballot. Your people failed to read ballot instructions written at a 5th-Grade level. Your people overvoted, undervoted, impregnated chads and hanged them. Your people failed to set up enough inner-city polling places, and failed to set up enough manchines in the polling places. Then your people shopped for judges to cover your asses and wipe your asses by letting Democrat slackers vote hours after closing time. Your people pushed the 2000 election into the courts, shopping for judges until you got to a Court where judges couldn't be bought, and you were beaten at your own stupid game. By stupid Bush, who got his MBA while Weird Al Gore was flunking out of God school.

Your people lied about Ohio in 2004. You smeared Ken Blackwell in an attempt to cover up the santorum smear you ran for president. You whined about oppression and suppression and intimidation, but the only proven intimidation in 2004 was by Taliban Democrat tire slashers. Then you pewled and whimpered about moving to Canada.

So assuming you're there and not here, how did you neo-Canadians con King County into letting you vote in our 2006 election? Oh, wait: King County ... culture of corruption ... explains everything.
