Are Honeycrisps still available? I thought Whole Foods ran out of that particular brand of crack a few weeks ago.

I have one in my fridge that I've been saving for a special occasion. Not kidding.

if you guys haven't tried the newest rare breed, the AMBROSIA, you don't know what your missing. (and at $3 a pound, you may feel obliged to skip it.)

only a few orchards in BC are growing them now, but just wait. the honeycrisp is going down!

You gotta like the idea that if Whole Foods is out of something, it just doesn't exist.

Fuji.

Terry, is that Ambrosia thing even an apple? Or some sort of hybrid--apples and marshmallows perhaps?

Graventsein applesauce from RIPE apples - golden yellowm and so sweet and rich.

And Mommie is making fresh homemde cinnamon rolsl with samer sauce inside, lavish imprted spices and presly toasted pecans.

Gravenstein apple sauce, easy to cook up, pinkish tints, leave the skins on.

DO NOT ADD SUGAR (the secret is just a hint of cloves)

Honeycrisps are the bomb, yo. They're still available at Safeway, but they have lost that first-of-the-year perfection that required me to eat multiple apples in one sitting. Still pretty tasty.
