A Goddamned Vespa!

posted by on November 30 at 12:08 PM

Next week—Strangercrombie. With words like these:

A Goddamned Vespa! A wonderful, beautiful, shiny new Vespa with all the trimmings: set-up and prep, plates, tabs, and license fees, two Vespa Soft Touch helmets, two riding jackets, shoulder bags by Chrome, a front rack, and more! (Good-looking passenger not—necessarily—included.) Valued at over $4,000! Opening bid: an idiotically low $1.99.

And photos like these:

How much to get the guy on the left to be my good-looking passenger?

Has God REALLY damned the Vespa, and if so, would I be at risk of committing some sort of sin by driving it?

Is it that The Stranger gets less-hot female models, or is it that their photography and editorial staff aren't as good at picking out hot images of females?

Ditto... those guys are yummy.

Ditto, #5. And why are the females more covered up? We demand femme flesh!

5: the stranger offices are scant in the dyke department and I don't believe any of them had a hand in strangercrombies...

5, 8, 9, and the Rest of You Rude Bastards:

1. What the hell is wrong with you? Your mommas didn't teach you any manners?

2. It's just become a tradition to bitch about the girl models. A weird tradition, but a tradition. It wouldn't matter who we picked—and these young ladies are quite attractive—people would bitch.

Strangercrombie is a fundraiser for NW Harvest & each year the models are beautiful and help out a wonderful cause.
Thanks beautiful people on the INSIDE & OUTSIDE.

Uh, my main point was that I don't see why the Stranger's male models are down to skivvies but its female models are consigned to dress slips (in what we've seen). One of the main reasons I find the male models more attractive is because they're stripped down, and definitely acting with a lot of more fun as a result.

Aren't the ladies hot enough to bare a little more flesh?

I, for one, have had no problem with previous girl models in Strangercrombie. In fact, in years past, I've considered the girls to be considerably hotter than the boys. 2002 was particularly good, if memory serves.

I'm not sayin' those girls are fugly... But seriously! Look at that guy on the right! SOOOOO hot, delicious body... you just want to lick him all over. Or I do at least. And he looks sweet - totally take-home-to-mamma. That image is totally selling everything in it.

The girls just simply don't evoke any sort of reaction from me. They aren't the least bit ugly, but those images just aren't compelling. All I dig about that image is the wallpaper.

So, again, I don't think it's the girls... I think it's the photography and image selection process.

(*sheesh* it was just a silly comment...)

All of the female models this year were darn hot if I must say. I'd know...I was doing hair for the shoot, and saw 'em all up close.
