Seahawks: Well that was exciting. It may not have been a pretty win, but it was definitely a big win. (On a related note: That had to sting Mike in MO.) Next week, back home for the Vikings. Sonics: For those who still care. Huskies: Ouch and ouch. Cougars: It's hard to win when you go 0-11 on third downs. Miami vs. Florida International: 31 one players—that's right, 31 players—suspended following Saturday's brawl. World Series: Detroit is in, NLCS is tied. Sweet Lou: Manager of the Cubs? Take it away Chicago Fan......

Sorry Mike in MO, that was a real gut wrencher for sure. I've got tickets to the rematch in Seattle -- hopefully the game will be as exciting the second time around!

Football players in full uniform brawling? Hardly. All that equipment makes it almost impossible to throw an effective punch or become injured by an opposing blow. What a stupid waste of time and energy.

Well I don't care where Lou ends up managing, if it will keep him from being a commentator. After listening to too many of his post-game press conferences, I can tell you that Pinella is not the guy you want to be listening to while watching a game. Why Fox Sports puts him on the air is beyond me.

In a perfect world, Miami would provide some leadership for the first time in their history, and shut down their football program permanently. Then, gradually, other schools would follow, and the NFL could build a minor-league program with their own money on the line instead of the taxpayers and the "schools".

I LOVE Lou as a commentor, but I love him even more as a manager. Like when he walks out onto the field and just grabs 2nd base and throws it.

I miss Sweet Lou.

Comment by Lloyd Clydesdale

Nary a Hawk fan spoke trash in anticipation of the big Rams game. I'm guessing that The Bears, Alexander, and the bye week kept peeps here, uh, subdued. The game was a nerve-wracking slopfest, sprinkled with missed opportunities, bonerific penalties and seat-of-the-pants capitalization by both teams. Exciting, yes, but belchily so. It was a battle of mistake-attrition, rather than a marquee-style shoot-out that would demand a good gilding of trash-mouth prior.

It was good to see the Hawks come out and play a strong second half -- their first one of the season! That penultimate spike play at the line of scrimmage could have gone either way, (belch). But with luck falling our way, what better a time to re-welcome to Deion Branch to Seattle.

Message: Seattle don't care about the Sonics anymore.

They're like the girlfriend/boyfriend you dumped who you just want to take the hint the reason you never return their phone calls after saying "well, that's a dealbreaker for me", is it's over.

Likely the best and most honest analysis of yesterday's game I have heard/read so far. What is certain, is that the Seahhawks aren't "there" yet.

Doesn't the fact that our offense revolves around the field goal suggest there's something wrong with our ability to finish? That, and the fact that we've been outscored on the season, suggest that we're a 9-7, 8-8 kind of team.
