News McGavick is Getting Downright Weird

U.S. Senate “candidate” Mike McGavick told Washington CEO magazine that he never worked as a lobbyist.
Not only do the following cites upend McGavick’s odd claim,
“Michael S. McGavick, the (American Insurance Association)’s top in-house lobbyist on the Superfund” [National Journal, 10/10/94]
“An insurance industry lobbyist, Mike McGavick of the American Insurance Association” [The Insurance Regulator, 7/25/94]
“Mike McGavick, lobbyist for the American Insurance Assn” [Business Week, 2/14/94]
McGavick “a former insurance lobbyist” [Chief Executive, April 2003]
…but now the Democrats are sending around copies of one of the many lobbyist registration forms McGavick filled out as a lobbyist in D.C.
Anyone else get some joy from seeing his name and mug as one of the "candidates in trouble" in this Sunday's NYT Week In Review section? Ahh.
McGavick is a standard Republican: first impulse is to always lie.
did he say "never worked as a lobbyist"... perhaps he volunteered as a lobbyist, for a stipend?

It depends on what the meaning of Lying Alaskan Mike McGavick is.
Oh, and Foley is now claiming he's a victim of child abuse at 13. Duh. Most child molesters were molested. Doesn't make their ACTIONS right. Doesn't make the COVERUP by the GOP Leadership right.
Doesn't make the LYING right.
Give Mike! a break! Mike! was obviously a registered lobbyist for the insurance industry. What possible reason would he have to lie. Attempting to obscure a fact that is so easily verifiable would just make his campaign look like it was in the last death rattle of a desparately futile struggle! And furthermore, Mike! would never insult the intelligence of the public with tawdry spin.
He simply thought the interviewer said, sodomist...and so, good god, the answer was of course no! A sodomist fucks people up the ass, while what a lobbyist does is completely different. Completely.
Now, that's SATIRE!
Why the censorship on Slog?
I've noticed some comments erased that were here this morning. Who is making the censorship decisions and what are you trying to prevent Slog readers from reading? Just curious.
Probably repeat posts by someone. But I doubt that includes the repeated lying by Alaskan Mike.
I love the repeated lying by these guys. They're such cybertards that they haven't figured out that anything can be found now. Especially since their own leadership has blown away all personal information protections.
