Chicago fan, any Chicago deep dish pizza recommendations?
still in the driver's seat, but it's going to be fun hearing the excuses when rhett favreman snaps his little ankle in game 10. enjoy the easy schedule while you can.
as for rex, we'll see.
as for deep-dish pizza, that's a complicated question. there are several different sorts of deep-dish--that is to say, not thin crust--pizza. some have two layers of crust with cheese/sauce/ingredients between, some have crust with cheese/ingredients underneath tomato sauce, and there are several other varients.
my favorite: Carmen's stuffed, spinach sausage and garlic.
but Giordano's is pretty good too. and their thin crust is palatable, unlike most deep-dish places.
but, wait, am i being fucked with? d'oh!
shit, that's what i get for baiting seattle's seahawks fans.
A win is a win. We did not have a number of starters due to injuries. In addition, the Rams have stolen a few last second wins from us in the pastfew seasons. Today was a big psychological win. Don't worry Chicago, you'll see us again, and at full strength. Remember, the last team to beat the Bears before their mid 80's tear through the NFL was halted by Miami was Seattle...
Besides anti-gay ministers, we also have anti-gay Seahawks! Go Hawks!
The Rams are the monkey on the Seahawks back. They are the key to every season, the only force that is ever truly capable of stopping the Hawks. Now that that dragon has been slain, the path to the Super Bowl is clear.
As for the Beagles and the Aints? Good to see y’all have a sense of humor.
Look, it's not like Seattle doesn't love the Seahawks. We do. But The Stranger is a refuge for fags and urban hipsters. That's great, I like it here and all, but that group doesn't skew to the football, or really any sports, fan demographic. Even Dan mentions his Mariner's season tickets with an embarassed disclaimer. Go to any Hooters in the area, however, and there will be lots of discussion of our beloved 'Hawks.
I'd love to see the 'Hawks play the Bears in the playoffs. If the Bears' D doesn't disappear in the first round like last year, we may get our wish.
And, hey, mock Shaun Alexander all you want, but he played on a bone bruise for a couple games until it grew into a fracture. And if it wasn't so early in the season, and the game was important enough, Holmgren would've let him play with a broken foot. You can knock him for not blocking on plays where he doesn't carry the ball, but you can't knock him for not being tough.
I want to talk about TO! No long ball, but 3 TDs off really nice catches- screw all you haters!
No one says TO can't play. But he is a disruptive force in the locker room. He ruined the 49ers, he ruined the Eagles, and now, suprise! - he's proving to be troublesome in Dallas. I don't know why coaches think, "Oh, I'll be the one who can get through to him." Why do you think something different will happen with your team when it didn't the last 3 times? Why the hell do you spend millions of dollars on a guy with the potential to ruin your team? I guess because he'll turn in a 3 TD game when he rebounds from his suicide attempt.
@B- I'm glad you think of the Rams as a Dragon, but it ain't slain yet. There's lots of football yet to be played. Don't go making your playoff tailgating plans just yet...
Do the Seahawks still play here? Geez, the things you miss out on when you don't follow pro sports...
Down 14-0 to the freakin Cardnals right now. How are you liking that?
Ouch - now your down 17-0, with them at your 10 yard line. That can not feel good.
Down 20-0 at the half, being beaten by a rookie. Goooood times.
20-0 at halftime.
steve young: "the worst half by a quarterback this year."
after six weeks of hearing about our new "young brett fahvre," i was tempted to offer some lame comment about an old bret fahvre.
but that's really not fair to brett.
rex, snap your little chicken ankle already so chicago fans can have an excuse.
but, well, it ain't over yet. the retardinls could blow it.
but it's fun watching the care bears squirm a little.
