I don't understand why no one in power will call Faux News on their BS. They are not a legitimate news organization, but a Republican Party propaganda machine, ala the American Pravda.

I'm sure they'll be airing a 2006 American remake of "Triumph of the Will" just in time for November sweeps.

They can't help that they work for Satan at Fox News. Lying is what they DO.

Maybe the big guy Murdoch will notice this. Too much more of this, and the hard news division will be about as reputable as the local college paper.

Opinions and "fuzzy" facts are one thing... hell, it got most of the repubs lining up to participate in FOXNEWS soft-soap, slow-pitch conservative friendly format. And as a result, brought in viewers and advertising revenue.

But to misrepresent, at least the party in power, if not the very persons who the parties back, is something entirely different. Different in the, OMG, what else is wrong that we can’t see? Which undermines viewer confidence and drives them away. Which in turn drives away advertisers and all that sweet, sweet money.

Yeah, I'm sure Murdoch is going to get all worked up over this. I doubt he even pays much attention to the channel aside from the financial statements.

But this does raise the interesting question of the post-Republican government: will the right-wing kooks actually know that their guys aren't in power anymore? Or will they drift off even further into dreamland, where Leviticus rules the day, and, as long as they don't break the spell by changing channel, never know the truth?

LOL they're not even journalists anymore.

I remember in the early 90's when we didn't have to take FOX seriously as a network. We still shouldn't. But it's too late now. They've got influence and Rupert's got money.

From the folks I know who are in the ditto-head, KJR listening, FOXNEWS watching demographic, the safe money is already on not breaking their spell by changing the channel.

So, two years from now when they tell you, "isn't it awesome that our leader George Bush has agreed to accept a third term, and everyone in the world has seen the wisdom of his leadership" you can just nod your head and say "yes, that's nice" and go about your business.

Left-Wing. Right.

What part of Feingold in McCain-Feingold (the Soros Empowerment Act) don't you understand?

Because in your world, "bipartisan" means "left-wing", "Democratic" means "left-wing", and even "Republican" means "left-wing" if it's not in Karl Rove's playbook.
