Slog - Comments on For the Blame Game Before He Was Against It

Sen. John McCain on North Korea yesterday: "We had a carrots and no sticks policy that only encouraged bad behavior. When one carrot didn't work, we offered another. Now we're facing the consequences of the failed Clinton administration policies." Sen. John McCain on North Korea today: "I think this is the wrong time for us to be engaging in finger pointing when in this crucial time, we need the world and Americans united in going to the United Nations to bring about sanctions against North Korea." (Via Think Progress.)...

Right, because in eight years of a Democratic Administration giving carrots to N. Korea the result was - uh, ZERO nuclear explosions, while five years of a GOP Administration giving N. Korea the "Axis of Evil" stick resulted in - uh, ONE nukular exploshun.

Heck, if the GOP can keep blaming Clinton after they've been in charge of the whole Magilla for the past five & a-half years, why can't the DEMS just extend that to Bush I or even Ronnie Raygun for that matter?

Only seems fair to me...

What is it about conservatives like John McCain that make them pathetic pathological liars who aren't capable of taking responsibility for anything?

Were his hash browns cold this morning?
Must be Clinton's fault.

McCain is such a phony. The problem is, people still believe his PR. I think he'd be a really formidable GOP nominee. Luckily for the Democrats, it's going to be hard for him to get past the Republican primaries, even with all the far right ass-kissing he's been doing lately.

Clearly you meant "Too bad for the Democrats", because McCain would be even worse for the Republicans in 2008 what Kerry was to the Democrats in 2004

Um, Comte, make that TWO. They think they popped another one. Stick and no carrot is working so well, why change now? The administration has backed themselves into a corner where they now have virtually no realistic choice except dropping some bombs on North Korea, which isn't going to work, and is just going to piss off China and Russia.

Our intransigence is making the situation worse, and it is making our friends AND OUR ENEMIES behave worse.

WHERE ARE THE FUCKING GROWNUPS????

You go, McCain - pandering and flip-flopping is SUCH a great way to appeal to the voters!

And to think I used to have even a shred of respect for that man. God, did he have an integrity-ectomy, or what?!
