Look, we sat by while MTV pushed it's fake reality show on us down at the Pier and now you're calling out P. Diddy?

I mean, he's got way more street cred than that Real World: Reykjavik crowd ...

No one from the Real World insisted on audio-vandalising Notorious BIG.

P. Diddy killed Hip Hop. A cap is the least he should expect.

P Diddy has many things, street cred is not one of them.

We can't just have Seattle's gay media running around advocating, even inciting the riotous murder of a black artist just because he doesn't rate high enough on their talent meter.

Dude, this act of agression will not stand, maaaaan.

Wait, from what I remember is anecdote after anecdote of Seattle residents making things very difficult for the Real World to be here. I even watched a lot of the eposides (I'll watch any crap set in a city I know, it's a thing I have) and there's is a bare minimum of footage of it's cast outdoors or outside a safe shooting environment.

As for Diddles "appearing" at the Space Needle... that's just weird, almost silly.

It was all a dream
I used to read Word Up magazine
Salt'n'Pepa and Heavy D up in the limousine
Hangin' pictures on my wall
Every Saturday Rap Attack, Mr. Magic, Marley Marl
I let my tape rock 'til my tape popped
Smokin' weed and bamboo, sippin' on private stock
Way back, when I had the red and black lumberjack
With the hat to match
Remember Rappin' Duke, duh-ha, duh-ha
You never thought that hip hop would take it this far
Now I'm in the limelight 'cause I rhyme tight
Time to get paid, blow up like the World Trade
Born filla, the opposite of a winner
Remember when I used to eat sardines for dinner
Peace to Ron G, Brucey B, Kid Capri
Funkmaster Flex, Lovebug Starsky
I'm blowin' up like you thought I would
Call the crib, same number same hood
It's all good

Uh, and if you don't know, now you know, nigga, uh

Last week it was Banton and this week it's Diddy. Do you have a problem with successful black musicians?

I for one want to riot every time some lame white group like Scissors Sissies comes to town.

Do you have a problem with successful black musicians?

Just the artistically vapid ones.

Diddy's black? I thought he was just faking that, too.

Whatever, Gomez. All the wannabe street thugs posing with their urban soundz won't make you what you aren't.

There are plenty of vapid unprofessional white local artists to contend with first..

And for all you know, Diddy may just want to go promote his album where he can get the most awesome cell phone coverage ever.

Yawn.

David, if you don't have anything interesting to write about, it's ok not write. In fact, I'd say it's best not to write.

Self-Important Sean, I assume you forget that it's David's job to write. And, compared to the other posts in Slog today, this one was commented on quite a bit, so maybe it was interesting to someone other than you. Or do writers fail unless Sean Almighty approves?
