Stephen Colbert was exceptionally awesome last night. Those of you who didn’t get to witness his “interview” with Gloria Steinem and Jane Fonda can catch up now:
Well, after no less than 3(!) kisses by Fonda, and even Steinem looking smitten, he's managed to make these so-called "feminazis" into cuddly, warm, caring humans. Funny, baking a pie and talking feminism - makes feminism so everyday and down-to-earth. Brilliant.
I've looked everywhere in my grocery store spice section, but can't seem to find a bottle of "Feminist" on the shelves. I mean, they're all in alphabetical order, so it SHOULD be right next the Fennel seed, but neither Crescent nor Schilling seems to stock this particular item. Is it something I need to special-order?
Colbert nothing... Steinem and Fonda were brilliant! They kept everything so beautifully in context! Plus they were hilarious as appropriate, and thoughtful and on-track as appropriate. Loved it!

Colbert is a genius. Getting two of the most famous feminists in the world to bake a cake with him! Inspired.
Stewart/Colbert '08!

This deserves a Pulitzer.
My favorite part was when he said "I like you, Fonda, you smell good."
HA!
