$2 lunch accomplished

posted by on October 19 at 13:08 PM

Actually, $1.99. At QFC. Breakfast sandwich, banana and a cookie. The sammy was slightly stale. And I scored, for free, white schmutz on my pants from my chair in the “dining area.”

Nope. The schmutz counteracts that.

Oh, so you want cheap plus clean chairs and white linen tablecloths.
You should have said so.....
That changes everything.

Josh Josh Josh. I've heard you talk about that sandwich more than everything else I've ever you heard you talk about all combined. So gross! What's best is the salt bagel with Olive and walnut cream cheese and a tomato on top. Seriously. Now I'm hungry.

Angela, your lunch sounds so disappointing, I would have just as soon gone hungry and saved the $2.

Damn QFC - Why are you so infuriating!

My usual $2 lunch is a can of soup. You can't beat soup.

Geni -

You bet - and the progresso and other all made canneds are excellent.
Quick, cheap - filling.

QFC: shitty food at gourmet prices. If you're looking for a bargain, go to Safeway. If you're looking to spend some $, go to Whole Foods.

You can get a 6" banh mi sub sandwich at a lot of places in Little Saigon in the neighborhood of $1.50.

Breakfast sandwiches are my friend: $2-$2.50 can get you a meal in many places that will tide you over until lunch.
