The Future Man

When this building is completed next year in Denver:

You will then know the name of this man:

Charles thanks for learning me about The Central Library. Some people hate the library, some love it. But that binary is really just Being evolving to know itself more deeply according to Hegel. I want Seattle to have buildings with architectural value. World class cities demand robust architecture. You are so dreamy and poetic, and I don't care if others don't like me complimenting you.

Charles,
Would you mind explaining for those of us who don't get it (to use the "hip lingo" of our day) what you see in that photo? Unless you have seen other images, I don't see how you can form any conclusion about the design as the picture is simply too small -- like one of those trendy salt and pepper shakers -- to be able to tell what is going on.

Given the choice between "World Class Architecture" and sufficient gallery space, I will take the expanded "low architectural value" extension to SAM anyday.

I haven't been in the new SAM extension, so I don't know what they've done, but it would be nice to have a museum that is little more than a ridiculous flight of stairs. Also, let's hope that the new section of SAM has escaped the minute labeling of everything that the current SAM suffers under (i.e. the "this coathook was donated by Mrs. and Mrs Impresstheneighbors)
