It’s Friday and…We are Losers.

Posted by on September 22 at 15:59 PM

Sarah’s doing wonked out posts (and designing graphs!) about condo conversions and affordable housing…

Erica C. Barnett is doing wonked out posts about the viaduct.

I posted an “analysis” about Mike McGavick’s TV ads.

And Eli S. is still counting votes in the 43rd.

This must end!

Time for a little teenage poet laureate. Here are the lyrics to a song I wrote a long long time ago:

Election Day in Israel

Siouxsie sings a song called Israel/
is she that sad and upside down?
w/ a radio song and a daisy chain/
poetry song/Palestine/
Palestine/satellite

Where do we fall when we fall asleep?
Is there a water well down in the world?/
I want to fall fall down 4,000 miles/ into Palestine, Israel, satellite

Can’t stop thinking about you and me
election day in Israel/
saddest day in the world
election day in Israel/
I’ll send you flowers of romance
sad flowers/
i’ll send you flowers

but where's the mp3 of you singing this?

Dude, it's sunny outside, there's Fremont Oktoberfest all weekend with Texas Chainsaw Pumpkin Carving and Zucchini Racing for the kids (free root beer too). Tomorrow's Festa Italia! at the Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center and there's a big boat show in S Lake Union on Saturday.

What are you doing in the office?

Hint: the 43rd numbers will wait. Not much happening.

Your song in honor of Israel is beautiful. Rosh Hashanah greetings to you Josh. The Stranger is Seattle's best Jewish newspaper. I want you to know that many, many local Jews value your constant support of Israel at The Stranger. Happy New Year 5767!

pedal to the metal, Shoshana.

Another dreamy and poetic post by Ch... oh wait, my mistake.

My name, by the way, is "Palestine/Palestine/satellite."

I join y'all in loserdom: I did all my drinking last night in Downtown for no real reason.

Josh-

WHY WHY WHY are you not in a rock band? Don't waste your youth like I did mine....

See you Sunday at the Bus Stop? Let's get some of that glam on live. I only have 3 more Bus Stop nights.

Great poem about Israel. Happy 5767 everyone. I'm not religious or spiritual but I do celebrate all the major holidays. At Temple last night Rabbi talked about Hope. No matter how hard things are Hope will carry us forward. For Israel I wish that the best days of 5766 are the worst days of 5767. America must stand strong behind Israel in the coming year and all will be well. Shalome.

Josh, as I said to Shoshana:

yeah, yeah, yeah, space truckin'

[From the opposite coast] I have to let you know Josh that I PLAYED that song for my 14 old YESTERDAY! He loves it, but not as much as 10 Batteries and Portland. No Spidey references in Election Day in Israel! BTW, whatever happened to those "best of" CDs?
