I suggest the final Seattle show ever for USS Horsewhip - a band once called "the carriers of Seattle's straight-up rock torch" in the pages of this very publication.
The Ruby Doe headline. Minnesota's Blind Shake open. At the Funhouse, I think.
I saw Paul Simon on Saturday Night Live recently and was impressed. There was one lyric where he says "Anyone care what I say? No!" and he delivered it with this fluid and groovy head nod that was the first genuinely funky thing I've ever seen him do. Also, the session guitar player he played with was an awesome, Adrian Belew-style stunt guitarist.
'Not bad' is not worth $30-60 for a ticket.
Anyone who won't spend $60 for a concert every once in a while simply doesn't know how to live.
C+ troll: solid effort but just way too predictable.
