This is my new favorite photo blog. I think it’s called Owl. (I don’t have an old favorite photo blog, unless Mike Daisey’s found-image blog—often from Slog, but not so often that it gets tiresome—counts.)
I kind of wish I could Flickr-tag the images on my new favorite photo blog. Today’s, which includes the below Polaroid of sunglasses, I would tag Lolita.
Yesterday’s entry would be tagged “log-rolling.”
I wasn't sure what that was on the log. At first I thought Macaca! but quickly realized how much trouble that could get me into. The other photos in the series makes it obvious that it's just a pasty skinned female human enjoying some very large wood with a rather nipply mountain in the background. I guess that's what makes it art.
When I was a kid, I used to float across Kootenay Lake on the logs that drifted free from the log booms, each summer.
It was so cool!
We'd do the same thing at the southern end of Lake Washington when they still had booms there.
Oh, yeah, I remember the booms. When did those disappear? I think they were here when I lived in Vancouver BC, but haven't seen them much nowadays.
