Here's how the 1.4 million was spent:

The Focus on the Family staff from the office in Indonesia was among the first relief organizations on the ground in Aceh, where they distributed relief medicines, food and drinking water. Since then they have continued to send tons of relief supplies. Their team will continue to send volunteer doctors, nurses and grief counselors for at least the next six months. Currently they provide the only counselors available at the General Hospital in Aceh. In addition, permanent Care Centers have been established in ten different cities throughout the affected area and will staff these centers with counselors for years to come. Other contributions include the following:

* FOF Indonesia provided Family kits (essential living supplies) to those in the most affected areas during the first three months after the tsunami.

* Assisted communities with emergency clean up programs.

* Cooperated with government officials in a rehabilitation program which provided equipment and medical supplies to several hospitals that were devastated in the tsunami.

* Contributed to the reconstruction program with the building of 10 care centers and health clinics.
