Every Child Needs a Mother and a Father

This one’s for you, Justice Madsen:

Mother Sentenced For Cutting Son’s Tongue

A mother accused of cutting off part of her son’s tongue with hot scissors avoided a 5-year prison sentence and was sentenced to 10 years probation….

Davis heated a pair of scissors on a stove in August 2004 and held it to her 6-year-old son’s neck before cutting off a piece of his tongue as punishment for talking back, authorities said. Her estranged husband, Toby Davis reported the injuries to police and she was arrested.

dan, have you archieved all these wonderful stories of wonderful parents? youve posted so many of stories, it would wonderful to read all of them

Jesus, 10 years *probation* for torturing a kid and people are getting decades in prison for selling harmless drugs like pot. Is it any wonder this country is so fucked up?

Justice Madsen is highly unlikely to read the Slog. Did you mail it to her? With pictures? (Plus one of YOUR happy family, Dan?)

Oh, shut up Blair(e)

Well, she has an "estranged" husband, so that means she's a whore. No wonder she cut the kid's tongue off.

Everyone knows IT TAKES BOTH A MAN AND A WOMAN, PREFERABLY CHRISTIAN, TO RAISE A CHILD.

Sick and twisted fucks! I still think about the poor girl whose mother made her drink Drano. :(

hey dan, you made this point now about 100 times on here...it's a valid point but i think it's enough. and posting on here, you're preaching to the converted anyway.

as hard as they are to read this (I disagree CITE) is one of Dan's best bits. no family structure has rights on the "good family" monniker. preaching to the converted - i certainly hope so. but a little outrage reminds me for one how very critical it is to promote healthy, loving families in WHATEVER form they take.

Way to go, LH. I couldn't agree more. Sometimes the truth is hard to take, but it's important not to turn away. Revolting stories like this force us all to examine things closely.
