$2 off Snakes on a Plane

Posted by on August 30 at 13:34 PM

I don’t like movies all that much, and I really hate how expensive they are. I dream of a satisfaction-based donation after the fact so one could pay $25 for the rare really amazing film and $2 for a crap one. Anyway, I just noticed that Costco has AMC (Cinerama, Pacific Place) tickets in two-packs (a $19 value) for $14. They have no restrictions and never expire. Chronic moviegoers could save a bundle. (Is this the most boring Slog post you’ve ever read or what? Christ.)

They should charge people for movies based on how much the movie cost to make. Mission Impossible III? $30. Little Miss Sunshine? 3 bucks.

And don't forget the Crest, for the patient or procrastinating. Can't beat 3 bucks. I hope to be viewing Nacho Libre this very evening.

I'd rather see it for free at a Cinema Seattle member preview. Like seeing the drink sex job drink sex drink new job drink sex sleep throwup drink action in Factotum last night at the Varsity.

Well, Kate, when you get right down to it, most Slog posts are boring.

We read Slog for the few that are not.

Having said that, there is nothing boring about your post. Most of us like saving a few bucks and fending off the great Satan -- Walmart. Anything that motivates us to jump through the all the hoops required by a trip to Costco is a bonus.

Practical advice is never boring.

I still prefer the 5 for $31 pass the U District theaters do.

Please stop using "Christ!" as a...whaddya callit?...exclamatory thingy? It's not that it offends my religious sensibilities, it usage is SOOOO worn out. Please go out on the street and talk to the kids, see what they're using these days to punctuate the end of self-depricating phrases.

I'd rather spend the extra $5 dollars then being accosted by Hummersize baskets and evil wholesale shoppers at Costco!

I'd rather spend the extra $5 dollars then be accosted by Hummersize baskets and evil wholesale shopper at Costco!
