Y'know, it also felt like a local story when the Japs bombed Pearl Harbor. I mean, look at all those Japanese immigrants living among the real Americans in Seattle at the time. People with Japanese genes = bad. Just like tunnels = bad. Fortunately, FDR had the good sense to round 'em all up and put them in the internment camps. Better to err on the side of caution.

Also, to err on the side of caution, I believe that WashDOT should immediately close the I-90 tunnels pending an investigation, and Sound Transit should discontinue all tunneling currently underway.

And it seems that Seattle is not the only Washington City beginning with S that has a problem with lying sonsofbitches with badges.
Maybe we need a state wide law prohibiting anyone who has perjured themselves or falsified a police report from wearing a badge.

You forgot to post about Israel invading Lebanon today. It's the biggest military action in Lebanon in twenty years, and many hope that after mopping up in Lebanon Israel will attack Syria. It's going to make Israel safer. Israel is taking care of Lebanon and Syria so the United States can focus on Iraq, that's good news.
