It's Club Lagoon, brought to you by the owners of Belltown Billiards. An 80's/ Miami Vice-themed club. On Capitol Hill. Ahem.

Posted about it here.

Bringing the tackiness of the East Side into the heart of Capitol Hill. How appropo that it's next to a tanning salon.

It appears to be a car that is being being lifted onto a roof of a building by means of a crane.

Crane: A machine for hoisting and moving heavy objects by means of cables attached to a movable boom.

This will be a fantastic complement to the crotch rocket posers who hang out at Vivace.

sooooo glad i don't live in the apartment building next door.

The car's been up on that roof since before Pride, at least. When I walked by yesterday afternoon, I assumed that the cranes were there to take it down -- that someone had somehow put the car up there as a prank, or it was up there as a short-term advertisement.

Lets go ahead and take that thing down before somebody either gets hurt or turns into Don Johnson. Cause that's what will happen, if you stare at it too long, you will combust into Don Johnson. And then attempt to put out a record.

Is this what the BIA means when they say they're looking to revitalize Broadway? After all, it's not a Thai or Pho restaurant.

And Broadway continues its downward spiral....

yeah...maybe Tiki Bob's and Cowgirlz will also move in... and maybe, just maybe if we're lucky, they'll put in a california pizza kitchen and abercrombie and fitch. YAY!!!

Based on the pic, the vehicle resembles a Lotus Europa sans hatch over the rear motor compartment. The early light weight 70's twin cam Europa(TC model?)mated with a Renault 5-speed was a delightful reving car. The vehicle could nimbly handle Madison Street to Seward Park along Lk Wash. Blvd. I always thought it once of Colin Chapman's better machines in spite of it being disregarded for its coffin-like appearance by the motoring public.

Capitol Hill? The new Belltown...Fremont...Ballard? Doubt the current other buiseness owners would mind taking the cash money.

While Jensen Interceptor's historical exploration is a delightful detour into the past, this car is clearly meant to be a Lamborghini Countach without the rear wing that seemed more common on later models.

Someone needs to give this thing a Warhol makeover... and then there's also the problem of Crockett having driven a Ferrari, if Miami Vice-ness is the true goal (though with regard to automobiles, probably nothing found itself on a poster so often in the '80s as the Countach).

Has parking on Capitol Hill really come to this?

Really, a Lambo!? My God, how pedestrian...
