‘Strangers with Candy’
(FILM) Strangers with Candy is basically just an extra-long, perfectly passable bonus episode of the original TV series, which means, of course, that it’s fucking hysterical. This “prequel” guest stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Philip Seymour Hoffman, but the reason to see it is still Amy Sedaris, who plays a fortysomething ex-junkie high-school student who’s “moist as a snack cake down there.” (Varsity Theatre, 4329 University Way NE, 781-5755.)
