Does Eyman Have Enough Signatures for His Anti-Gay Referendum?

Posted by on June 2 at 9:05 AM

The speculation continues, with the P-I sounding weary of Eyman’s antics but confirming that it is R-65 signatures that Eyman will be turning in on Monday. Now the only question is: How many?

Oooo me me!! I wanta 'speculate.

More then a bakers dozen, but less then enough to qualify. But, he is going to file a new initiative (to save on gas $$$).

That initiative will be to stop obstructionist groups, you know, those groups that had no right to show up out side of churches and rented schools to counter the initiative gathers.

Being the sulky little fae that he is and all.

Are you suggesting Eyman would LIE?

Come on, next you'll tell us the President and his Administration lie to us each and every day ...

It will be interesting to see what, if anything, Eyman does with this.

Certainly Eyman deserves ZERO credit for this, even if he gets the signatures. Eyman did nothing personally to get the signatures. It has been all from the religious groups. They should have had some balls, and filed the referendum themselves. Eyman may have filed first, but anyone else could have filed an identical referendum.

Eyman's association with this takes away a lot of the potential moral force. A lot of folks have strongly held personal moral positions on same gender attraction. But very few of them thinking lying is okay. And most people who oppose same gender attraction also oppose gambling.

I wonder if Eyman will come out in drag to present the signatures? Might as well dress garishly and offensively. And if people don't like Eyman impersonating a woman, he can tell them to vote NO on R-65 -- since this civil rights law protects cross-dressing!

And this civil rights law also protects you, Mr. Pope, with your strongly held personal moral positions on same gender attraction, from being denied housing, employment, or a loan from someone 'impersonating a woman' and dressing 'garishly and offensively'- who happens to be homosexual.

Eyman's association with this takes away a lot of the potential moral force. A lot of folks have strongly held personal moral positions on same gender attraction.

A moral force to discriminate?

That's a moral outrage!

Pope is a confused far rightie who migrated to Slog from the dog breath far right site - un sound Politics.

Go away Richard. Your grasp of this is rooted in the distant past.

New century, new ideas, new culture.
