Being religious is one of the worst ways a human being can waste their precious time on Earth. While a small part of the world has actually benefited from such things as 'the enlightenment' and 'science,' most people are still pledging eternal allegiance to cheesy fantasy novels like the Bible. And to further demonstate their blind stupidity, get into bloody wars over their juvenile belief system. Religion? What a load of crap. Bush and his moronic followers can choke on it.

I do believe a lot of the negativity stems from jealousy.

I lived in Europe and while I LOVED it, they lack things we take for granted in America: air-conditioning, customer service, quick service, etc.

A person making $10 an hour in the U.S. can live very, very well. That's not easily said for the rest of the world.

Of course, I think if you're going to visit another country, it's probably best that you behave and try to blend into the general population.

You know what has developed in the last 6 years though? The "good" people, smart and polite and kind and giving, are getting frustrated and worn out and demoralized. Too much of seeing the stupid and the mean win is getting to people, I think. Maybe it's just those around me, or where I spend my time, but I think Americans ARE actually getting ruder, if only out of frustration and despair.

Having been to Europe and other countries in the past two years, people treat you just fine and talk to you -- even if they notice you have an American accent -- but if you are
1) nice
