The Stranger. The Slog. The CIA. And The City Attorney.

Posted by on May 9 at 20:06 PM

Some days, working two jobs (that is: writing and editing for the Stranger & writing for the Slog), catches up with you.

That day was today. I was working on the Stranger all day— which is why I haven’t Slogged since 7:30 this morning. (Some good stuff to show for it in tomorrow’s paper, though, including a fly-on-the-wall account of Sen. Cantwell’s closed door meeting w/ the sit-in anti-war group.

Anyway: All I can add to Slog today is that President Bush’s nominee for the CIA post, Michael Hayden, images.jpg

looks exactly like Seattle City Attorney Tom Carr. homepage_left_photo_car.gif

which means he'll be developing covert info on strip clubs and weed smokers.

One ten minute conversation with Carr on an ethical question was too much ----

Big ego, no finesse and a total ass to a just plain citizen.

By the way, his take on the world is not that he works for voters .... oh no ... but that the city council is his client.

Well, Tom Carr does sound an awful lot like a Republican when he talks about pot.

I think he looks like Greg Hill in Wallingford. Maybe the CIA can ban international growth, not just domestic.

Both Hayden and Carr look like the dad from That 70's Show. Same actor played one of the bad guys in "Total Recall". Oh, and he also played the father of Neil, the kid who committed suicide in "Dead Poet's Society".

Ah, OK, I see Swill and I think alike, with the exception that he knew the actor's name is Kurtwood Smith and I did not.

Has anyone else noticed that newly minted Democrat Rodney Tom looks exactly like Jimmy Cooper from The O.C.?

I for one don't know how The Stranger can support someone like Carr. I mean, look, since he's been elected our crime rate has skyrocketed due to all those weed smokers coming into town.

Um.

Wait, you mean to tell me crime has actually gone down?

Never mind.

Guess it WAS all lies then.
