Return of the Killer Bees!
Tonight brings together two of my favorite things—Sick Bees and the Comet Tavern. Sick Bees are a two-piece unit with Starla rocking the Telecaster/vox/muumuu, and Julio smacking the junkyard drums. They make pretty/discordant noise-rock that shrieks and coos and jangles and pummels and waltzes and makes you wanna jump around. They only play a couple shows a year, so catch em while you can. Also playing is Arkade, Welcome (who I think still includes Dean and Mike from Double Fudge, but I may be wrong) and Arthur & Yu.

mmm sick bees. I've only heard a bit of them, but in one song that stuck in my head they were using a bach cantata. good stuff.
(anyone who pulls of incorperating bach in their art rock and doesn't make it sound cheesy is f'n awesome)
