Re: Burger King Flaunts Its Meat

While Burger King works to harden arteries everywhere, Disney is ending its decade-long promotional relationship with McDonald’s because “the family-friendly entertainment giant wants to distance itself from fast food — and its links to the epidemic of childhood obesity.”

You know what else contributes to childhood ebesity?

The fact that our children now spend the time they used to playing outdoors playing video games, on the inetrnet and in front of the TV.

Is fast food to bame for fat kids? partly... but I'm thinking a kid who eats McDonalds is less likely to be a little pudge ball if they are running off those extra caolries....

One time, at Disneyland, near Pirate of the Carribean me and my wife got a large order of McDonalds fries from that place where you can only get fries. I'd eaten McDonald's fries before, but those were the best damn fries I ever had that day.

I think this is long overdue. I am glad they are doing it. Now parents won't get guilted to go to McD's for useless, plastic Disney Happy Meal toys.

what ??? no more disney color change drink cups!!!???

SAY IT AINT SOO!!!!

So what's the real reason Disney is ending this relationship? That company has never really been known to put principle before making some moolah. I can't imagine they think they'll make more money by being health conscious.

Food will always be solely blamed for obesity, but the biggest culprit of all is the lack of exercise society en masse gets. Low metabolism = fat ass, no matter how much or how little you eat.
