Megan, just for the record, your second pic is not of a colostomy bag. It is a picture of a "stoma" or an additional exterior opening from the abdomen. Call it a substitute anus if you want. The colestomy bag surrounds the stoma and collects waste that otherwise would come out of one's anus.

I thought your readership would appreciate the clarification, and besides it's noon and I am hungry and a bit bored.
