Joy/Pain

Car washes are beautiful. I realize they are not a good use of water. I almost never have them. But I just did. I even had wax and drying. My car is green.

This I just received in my inbox: “For your wife’s b-day you want to make a sperm firework for her?” I do.

Jen-

Getting your car washed at a carwash is ten times better than doing it yourself. Washing your car at home is bad news. You did the right thing.

Will is correct, and here is why:

Most car washing businesses filter and recycle the water used; most driveway car washers run the hose from a pipe on their house that is connected to the Cedar River between Issaquah and Enumclaw, just east of Maple Valley. After this water flows over the soapy car the foamy, mix of petroleum grime and soap flows down the gutter and into a storm drain, into a pipe that drains into the nearest stream.

If you live in a place where you do not know the name of the stream's watershed in which you live, your life would be improved by learning about that ribbon of life between the clouds and the sea.

My truck is blue. My bicycle is red.

Screw your wife Jen, make ME a sperm firework.

Jen, you can now by organic products to use to wash your car. If enough customers ask for them at car washes, we could have an organic car wash in Seattle! I use all organic at home on my Hybrid car.

i'm not sure about most car washes, but the one my dad owns uses all environmentally safe products. they are made by sunny's and simonez, which are two of the biggest providers in the nation. i doubt they are organic, but they at least aren't hurting the aquafer here in florida. and you're right about the water recycling. the systems that do it are crazy expensive, but they save money in the long run, and use a lot less water. my dad's even uses "dirty" water, so none of the water is first use water.

definately better than washing on your driveway.

So, will the sperm firework flow down the gutter and into a storm drain, into a pipe that drains into the nearest stream, or will it filtered and recycled and ready for her next birthday?
